The Aston Martin DB7 is a bargain exotic car -- especially with V12 power. This DB7 is a special, enthralling car, and today I'm reviewing the DB7. I'm going to take you on a thorough tour of the DB7, and I'm going to show you all the quirks and features of the Aston DB7 -- and then I'll drive it and show you what it's like on the road.

For me this car was good looking right up until the DB9 came out. Now it's just kind of bland and really shouts 90s-early/2000s styling malaise.

Doug! The same radio was used in early 986 and 996 Porsches and the alarm fob was also used by GM-era Saabs. Both of my Saab 900SEs had that key fob. :D

My Astons dome light timer goes up to 13! Behind the fake glove box panel is possibly the toilet roll dispenser from the port-a-loo that they took that particular panel from, it's a 1983 PORTAKABIN DABLAV which for me was one of the finest ever!

My 2003 Honda Odyssey has 3 flashing alarm lights. Honda Odyssey > Aston Martin DB7 V12 Yes, as a long time Doug viewer, I understand the irony in in that statement

Those keys are Ford keys..usually those were hexagonal.
bartek Pirms dienas
The part of the key you stick in keyhole is actually from Ford too, as well as door lock. I had various fords here in europe including fiesta, escort and scorpio, and they all have exactly the same key design and look

To be ridiculously pedantic..... Those exposed screws on the door cill plaque aren't phillips screws, they're pozi screws If you don't know the difference, and you're the sort of person that actually uses a screwdriver regularly, you should learn the difference, it will save you a whole lot of headaches with stripped out screw heads.

Im just sligtly uncomfortable with doug reviewing this particular car.. Doug is primarily a car reviewer and key to that is being independant and being seen to be independent.. Whilst im sure you were objective in this review.. you need to be beyond any suspicion of bias.. Not quite sure yhat can apply when you revew a car for sale on y r own auction site.. I still think y r great but as a matter of principle id say revewing cars going through cars and bids counts as a "demerit"

this video was clearly sponsored by a club of aston owners who are trying to offload their broken "supercars" while they can for the cost of the transmission repair thats looming. amongst a dozen other bills waiting for you to bankrupt your finances. these cars are all effectively totaled at this price point. one bad thing goes wrong and its to the junkyard she goes.

I see a 2006 on your bid site with recent $7500 service, ouch! Engine seems it cannot keep its gaskets sealed. Possibly with regular driving and more miles on it the gaskets would not tend to dry up? Didn't use torque to yield bolts that keep even constant pressure. I have a 2002 that has never had that much spent on it for repair and has over 200,000 mi on it. I've seen much older V12's and they look like 2 straight slant 6's pushed together into a nightmare. These "bargains" can start costing triple what you paid for them.

change out the DB7 plate screws for Torx screws and it will appear modernized and just better. My 1953 Caddy you had to insert and turn the key then push the start button, nothing new but I like it.

I'd replace those plate screws with security Torx cap screws. Not for security. Just for style.

I can concur with Doug: these are incredibly reliable cars. My car starts every time and just keep running - it's a car you can drive every day without worrying about it, unlike the Italian competition. Also, unlike the Italian cars it's designed to accommodate drivers who are 6' tall or more. The only issues is some of the trim, like the Mazda door handles (inside and out), that look like they're made from metal but are actually plastic; they break on a regular basis and have to be replaced. I also never understood why a GT like this didn't have cruse control. The engine is hand-built and is solid as a rock. A service at your local garage once a year is plenty as it's not necessary to go to an AM specialist. I still think the DB7 is one of the prettiest convertibles ever designed. The DB9 has a nicer interior as AM had more money to spend on it thanks to the success of the DB7, and it's also designed by Ian Callum, but the rear is too blunt and the waistline is too high. I think it's a design that has aged well and will continue to do so.

How much would you pay for a 2007 Lincoln Town Car Designer with 31,000 miles? The car is in MINT CONDITION and the Seller is asking $15k and the KBB is $8-10k. Also its off white, beige interior, fully loaded with a custom landeu soft top$$, gold grille/hood ornament. Still has a dealer tag on the back seat. Im in rural Western Kansas and vehicles are harder to find and more expensive than in big cities. I absolutely love these cars!

Please don’t review cars and bids cars. It sounds like you’re talking highly about the car just so people buy it. It doesn’t seem organic, just a salesman trying to make a buck
