Why you keep giving poor score like that ? Just because it's a Toyota, it automatically gets poor score.

Nice minivan, HUGE issue, CVT. Sure Toyota has the best one out of all the other brands but nevertheless, it's a NO for me. Also, I'll wait for a proper V6

Imagine driving this on the Taconic Parkway... will end up on the right hand lane on the hills, sorry will keep the 2020 Sienna and the 290 hp.. I like driving at 70 - 75 mph uphill and think the 2021 will be pushing hard at 4 - 5 k rpm doing those hills.

Where is the rear entertainment screens? For 50K every seat should have individual screens with their own controls.

There’s an optional rear entertainment system which is mounted on the ceiling.

You missed the major gripe with this Sienna. The second row cannot be removed (at least with non-lounge seats, I am not sure about these lounge seats), it can only be moved. For many minivan owners, this is a major bummer.
ikelee Pirms 5 dienām
Technically the seats can be removed but not so conveniently. You just need to take out 4 bolts and unclip a wiring harness. Then the seats will come out.

I was hoping and expecting Toyota to offer switch controlled button system to lower back seats and also, the center seats are always for 2-person there has neer been any attempt made by any car manufacturer so far where they can place an extra seat in the center region for an additonal occupant. What a disappointment Toyota..😏

According to Motor Trend the 2021 Sienna’s 0-60 time is 7.9 seconds vs the 2018 Sienna’s 7.1. So less than a second slower but significantly better fuel economy especially if you can get 44mpg like Edmunds did!

I wander if they'll have a sienna prime.
ikelee Pirms 6 dienām
If Toyota is struggling to make enough RAV4 Primes to meet demand I can’t see a Sienna Prime anytime soon. Logically they will move on to the Highlander Prime next as Toyota sells almost 3x more Highlanders than the Sienna.

19:25. I had aftermarket 20s on my Silverado. I threw on the factory 16” alloys with new tires. Rode so much better. I think low profile tires aren’t the best for comfort focused vehicles such as a minivan.

just like all toyotas, very functional but the ugliest car of all its competitors.... toyota somehow always manages to do this for some reason focusing everything in the function but leaving aesthetics to the last concern
Javier Pirms 6 dienām
@ikelee Just focusing on looks I personally prefer Kia, Chrysler and Honda in that order. That being said, Mercedes has the Viano in the European market (I grew up in Spain) and I think that is the better looking one at all of them. We still have one of the first models they released that works great and they have made A LOT of improvements. The Odyssey wasn't available in Europe back then and we had the Renault Space before which wasn't powerful enough and overheated constantly with how much we would push it so it only lasted a year with us. In the end, instead of importing the Odyssey we got the Viano and sacrificed the 4 wheel drive to get the V8 with 200 hp since we average about 160 - 170 km/h on the highway and we wouldn't have been able to go that fast with any other model or brand over 12 years ago. It's very entertaining to see how many features and charging ports they have and how much more power they have now with smaller and more economical engines! My 4 siblings and I used to fight constantly for those charging ports... good times....

IKhan Pirms 9 dienām
Toyotas are pricing themselves out of the market. New Highlanders and Siennas are pushing $60k CAD and Sequoias (A 12 year old design) are pushing $75k CAD. As for reliability yes, Toyotas are great but manufacturers like Hyundai and Kia are not far off and the price is far more reasonable. Their warranties and standard equipment are also better.
ikelee Pirms 9 dienām
the base price for all the trims is quite similar to the 2020 model which is impressive as you now get a hybrid engine and all the latest safety tech. The top trim Sienna is priced competitively with the top trim Odyssey and Pacifica. So I don’t think they are priced out of the market.
